The Robot SIG has organised a tour of the Creature Workshop down the Gold Coast. They create animatronic machines for the film industry.

There is a limited number of people (15-20) for this tour. If there is plenty of interest then we can go again soon.

Update: As at 07Jul99 we have 14 people. So one or two more and then the names can stockpile until next time.

We are organising a car pool to get down to the coast. If you wish to car pool then we will be meeting at Griffith Uni Nathan Campus on the main road adjacent to the Technology Building shown in the graphics below at 6:15pm. We will leave at 6:30pm SHARP to make sure we arrive on time. If you are late you'll have to drive yourself.

If you decide to drive yourself, then here are the directions.

. Take the Helensvale exit off the Pacific Highway
. Continue past Helensvale towards Labrador
. Past the Dairy which is on the left, which is the Pine Ridge Road intersection with traffic lights
. Continue through the intersection and you will see the Zolar Petrol Station and Claudia's Interiors on the left
. Turn here and drive between the 2 buildings into the Industrial Estate, which is 239 Brisbane Road. Near the back on the right hand side are Units 14 & 15

The Creature Workshop has asked that no photography or video camera footage be taken during the tour.
